CAM Funds Excel Academy $4M via Revolving Credit Line Facility

Excel Academy Charter School, in Irvine, California, strives to educate the whole child by finding the path that best fits each individual. The school came to CAM for a $4.5M revolving line of credit for all of its working capital and growth needs. In recent years, Excel Academy has grown to accommodate more virtual learning for all students.

Excel Academy offers a variety of approaches for each child’s unique needs. K – 12 students are able to choose full-time in-person, full-time virtual, or a combination of both learning styles with lots of field trips and hands-on learning included in all programs. Parents are able to be as involved in the curriculum as they choose to be, though the charter always encourages parents to engage in their child’s learning.

Serving over 1,000 students, Excel has worked to engage with minority and economically disadvantaged students and encourage them towards college education. High school students are able to customize their tracks, take concurrent courses through the local community college, and receive personalized counseling for their future goals. The partnership between Excel and CAM has allowed more of their students than ever to graduate with plans for ongoing education.
